It feels these days like winter comes right after summer, and hot weather arrives virtually as soon as the snow melts. I have been thinking about different ways to have my family stay healthy whenever the weather changes suddenly and the immune system starts faltering. One of the ways to keep the body healthy of course is to eat well, and especially eat a lot of fruits, vegetables and unprocessed foods. After a lot of research I came across a new type of juicer.
Of course juicer machines have been around for decades, and I've used my mixer or food processor to make all kinds of fruit and vegetable juices as well as smoothies and shakes. During my research, however, I discovered that there were a lot of brands and companies that made advanced juicers that make much more sense than just using the mixer or a traditional grinding juicer. Everywhere I looked the brand that was recommended by the most people was Hurom, with its popular "slow juicer."
So, I finally decided to order a Hurom Slow Juicer and see for myself. The first thing I noticed when I ran the juicer for the first time to make some carrot and kale juice was how silently its operation was. I was always irritated by how loud mixers and juicers can be, and using them in the morning would often wake up everyone in the house. But the Hurom is super quiet, and when you think about it works, it makes sense: unlike traditional juicers, Hurom's juicer "squeezes" instead of grinding the ingredients. The high-speed operation of most juicers breaks down a lot of the ingredients as well as applying a large amount of heat, which can destroy many of the more heat and impact-sensitive nutrients. But Hurom's juicers use a "low-speed screw" that can preserve the maximum amount of nutrients. They work almost like old-fashioned stone grinders. By gently pressing out the juices of natural ingredients instead of using a high-speed grinder, more nutrients, enzymes, minerals and vitamins are preserved. I also like the fact that the screws are made of safe and eco-friendly ceramic material instead of corrosive steel.
After I pressed out my first batch of vegetable juice, I also found out how easy the juicer was to clean. There is a self-cleaning function that uses spinning brushes located inside the bowl to clean the surface of the stranger automatically, cutting down significantly the time and effort need to clean the machine after use. The continuous extraction system also cleans up all of the peel and pulp automatically.
Like the first thing I made, carrot and kale juice, I like to mix different ingredients. Before I often had to go through the trouble of making one juice, storing it in a container, cleaning the juicer, then making another batch with different ingredients. But the Hurom juicer has a "juice cap" that stores the juice inside a drum within the juice that allows me to mix the ingredients in any proportion that I want, which means I can customize the juice I make. This is a fantastic feature. For adults, I can put more nutritious and energy-giving vegetables in the juice, while I can boost the amount of delicious and sweet fruit in the juice for my children.
Dong Ah Co., the company responsible for developing the Hurom line of slow juicers, has spent nearly four decades in developing new ways to allow consumers to stay healthy and full of energy. Donga Ah became the first company in the world to develop and patent the LSTS (Low-Speed Technology System) using a screw to squeeze juice out of fruits and vegetable rather than high-speed grinding method. Dong Ah and its Hurom brand is popular not only in Korea but around the world in major markets such as the United States, Japan, China and Europe.
