Korea s Homegrown Foodstuffs Eager to Go Global

In line with the global trend toward safe and healthy foodstuffs worldwide, Korean food suppliers
are attempting to attract global consumers by lifting their products quality and nutrition levels to
global standards.
Thanks to these efforts, some of Korea’s leading food products, including traditional herbal tea,
ginseng and kimchi, are gaining popularity as health foods with high nutritional value in overseas
markets, including many Asian countries.
Targeting more wide global consumers, a number of Korea s food product companies are attending
various international food fairs, scheduled to be held in major cities around the world in this fall.
They will present high-quality homegrown products, including ginseng, agricultural produce, fruits,
various health supplements, Korea s traditional foodstuffs, ready-to-cook items and so forth.
