Established in 1975, Wellbas Ltd. has supplied electronic components to such companies as Samsung, LG, Sony, Sharp and many other international corporations. Recently Wellbas has developed HiSaver zero standby power system, an internationally patented new energy-saving multi-power strip, to help meet the world’s growing energy needs.
The HiSaver is a power strip that uniquely manages and dramatically reduces power and ‘standby power’ consumption of computer workstations, home entertainment systems and other electronic appliances, having to inconveniently disconnect power cords daily.
Computers & peripherals and electronic devices such as TVs, receivers, DVD players, BluRay players consume electricity when power cords are plugged into the outlet, even in the OFF position. This wasted energy is called standby power and occurs all year long.
When the motion detector of HiSAVER detects no activity for 10 minutes, the HiSAVER goes into the Energy-Saving Mode, automatically shutting off the power of peripherals including monitor, speaker, printer, scanner, internet modem, etc. to eliminate standby power, which is equivalent to 10~11% of total electricity used worldwide.
HiSAVER saves electric power by reducing standby power to almost zero, saving over 60% of energy consumption while the users are away from the desk with their PC turned on.
HiSAVER received the gold medal at the 35th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva as well as numerous other technology awards. It also received the New Technology - New Product certification by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy in Korea.
