Parts Maker in Global Markets
Seoul-based IPEC High Precision has been rapidly growing into a specialty manufacturer in Korea of a wide spectrum of ustomized high-precision machinery parts - based on its own competitiveness secured through technology innovation, ontinuous investment in R&D, and training of core personnel since its establishment in 2000.
IPEC’s superb ultra-precision processing components are currently delivered to Parker, the UK’s world famous fountain pen maker and an Italian hot runner specialty venture.
Operating six major business sections of hot runner system, ultra-precision processing, semiconductor, automobiles, erospace, and defense parts, IPEC is especially focusing on highly value-added ultra-precision processing parts so as to ully compete against those manufactured by the advanced countries like Germany and Japan.
For export of its highest-quality ultra-precision items, IPEC is manufacturing its products conforming to the manufacturing levels on par with international levels, in cooperation with the country’s well-known related institute.
Furthermore, IPEC has recently started increasing the quality of its products by massively investing in facilities including 5-axis high-speed processing machine upon sensing the need for such equipment after participating in numerous overseas recision-processing exhibitions.
“When considering home and abroad precision processing markets, the desirable level of 50~70% ratio of its total sales should be made in the form of export from the current 30%. Strong investment in facilities is essential in order to fully produce the highest-quality products that can satisfy the demands of foreign buyers,” said Kang Seungwon, the president the ompany, revealing strong confidence in securing overseas markets.
Following its remarkable first export drive started with a U.S partner, the company has consistently succeeded in expanding its export destinations to Japan, the UK, Italy, Australia, Indonesia, etc.
“The solution of dependency of precision parts in overseas markets significantly depends on their localization by domestic ventures armed with technological prowess,” Kang noted revealing his interest in domestic defense parts together with xisting foreign market ones.
The president added when asked about the current reaction from overseas markets: “We are currently witnessing the high eputation of Korea’s ultra-precision technology and competitiveness of parts production among participating global buyers of various kinds of overseas precision parts exhibitions.”
For this year’s aggressive drive of foreign markets, IPEC has determined to give more weight to reinforcing its overseas market presence through ever intensifying investment in R&D especially for higher quality of its flagship products including ultra-precision processing parts products.
