The Aquarium consists of three parts: Coastal Life, Marine Life and the Eco-Terrarium.
The Coastal Life zone offers visitors the special opporfunity to watch and study Beluga whales, Baikal seals, sea dragons, and other inhabitants of the nearby coast. The Marine Life zone features the spectacular underwater scenes of the five oceans indoors with the nation¡¯s first dome-type large-scale water tank providing a panoramic view.
The massive Eco-Terrarium has re-created the ecosystems of the Amazon with pirarucus and piranhas. It is a good place to learn about various types of rare marine life and explore the cutting-edge Marine Life Pavilion.
The Sky Tower is a monumental piece of art, recycled and redesigned from a pair of an abandoned 55-meter cement silos on the EXPO site. The harp-shaped exterior is an embodiment of the giant waves of the coastal waters of Yeosu. Moreover, the tower is a fully-functioning pipe organ that will play the tunes related to the sea for the enjoyment of visitors.
