PHOTO & IMAGING 2010 PHOTO & IMAGING 2010 is set to be held for four days from April 29 at COEX in Seoul. The biggest show of its kind in Korea, the fair is a place where the visitors can witness the extent of development of Asia¡¯s photo & image industry.
Reflecting rising interests in the field, the record number of viewers visited the previous show. A number of leading global brands, including Sony, Nikon, Samsung, Canon and Olympus have regularly participated in the show, which is an indication that they recognize the importance of the exhibition as a site for promoting themselves and their products in Korea, one of the fastest growing markets in the world.
The upcoming show will feature a comprehensive range of items, including lights, studio set, custom and digital related products such as cameras, lens, memory cards, USB, photo printers and electronic albums.
A diversity of special events will be held during the show, helping to foster a festive mood for both amateur and professional photographers.
First, the Asia-Pacific Print Competition for Asian photographers is due to take place with the participation of judges from PPA (Professional Photographers of America).
The organizers will also arrange the second edition of 2010 Seoul Photo Fair, a specialized art fair for photographs, with Spain as the guest country. At this event, a Spanish curator Alejandro Castellote will present 100 pieces of works of 10 Spanish photographers, which are relatively unfamiliar to the Korean public.
In addition to the Spanish photographers, a lot of photographers from the U.S., Japan and France will participate in the event as well. Throughout the fair, there will also be diverse special events and photograph exhibitions, including P&I seminar and exhibition featuring works of amateur photographers. Organizers are confident the upcoming P&I covering virtually all the items regarding imaging input and output will generate ample business opportunities for participating companies, providing valuable chance to grasp the latest photographic trend to visitors.
